All medical writing managers, no matter the size of their team, face the same challenge – timelines of clinical programs constantly shift and forecasting work for staff is often like playing Tetris®. Managing changes in resourcing needs, or juggling the resourcing of numerous, rapidly shifting projects is an ongoing task in medical writing organizations of all sizes.
Despite the importance of this topic, it is one of the least discussed in our industry. We’d like to change this! At our Think Tank, we will discuss and learn from each other how to make the process of forecasting business needs as efficient as possible and, ultimately, reduce the stress often associated with this activity. The Think Tank will be kicked off by presentations from Dr. Julia Forjanic Klapproth (Senior Partner at Trilogy Writing & Consulting) and Dr. Kim Jochman (Senior Director, Medical Writing at Merck), to then open up the discussion with all participants.
