Clinical Development Plan

A document that lays out a logical sequence of clinical studies (trials) planned to be conducted to generate the information necessary to support the label claims of a new pharmaceutical product or usage. It outlines the hypotheses that the clinical development programme and its associated clinical studies (trials) will test. It covers methodology, time schedules, milestones, resources and expertise required; amount, type and quality of data to be collected; risks and mitigation plans.
