Pregnancy Prevention Programme

A set of interventions intended to reduce the likelihood of pregnancy during treatment with a medicinal product with known or potential teratogenic effects. The scope of such a programme is to ensure that female patients are not pregnant when starting therapy and do not become pregnant during the course and/or soon after stopping the therapy. Pregnancy Prevention Programmes are also known as Pregnancy Prevention Plans (PPP) in the United States.
